Callao Salvaje is a reasonably new urbanisation which has become predominantly British in its make-up in recent years.
While other nations have also taken roost in Callao Salvaje, the community of UK expats have all but assumed Callao Salvaje as theirs and most newcomers join for that reason.
A number of good complexes offer well-built apartments with excellent aspects, while the higher slopes of the town contain some of Tenerife's finest private villas.
