If you are a Non-Resident selling your property you need to remember that 3% of the declared purchase price on the Escritura (Title Deed) will be retained and forwarded on to the Hacienda (Tax Office) to make sure there are no outstanding taxes to be paid. It will then be your responsibility to instruct a fiscal representative to reclaim this money if no taxes are due.
